Get ready to see some major celestial events this year

Source: Farmers Almanac

Get Ready to look up at the sky because 2 celestial events are happening very soon. On January 17-21st 6 planets will be visible in the night sky. You will be able to see Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn with the naked eye, but you will need a small telescope or binoculars to see Uranus or Neptune. However, that’s not the only celestial event happening this year.

Later this year on February 28th a Great Planetary Conjunction will be happening. All of earth’s celestial neighbors will be lined up on the evening of the  28th. You will be able to see Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn with the naked eye, but you might need a small telescope or binoculars for Uranus and Neptune.

It’s not actually uncommon to see multiple planets in the sky at the same time, but it’s rarer the more planets that you can see, and a planetary conjunction is exceptionally rare. So get your telescopes ready and get stargazing so you can see these two major celestial events
